No reason other than precious preference. It's just about hearing as little as possible before the album comes out. If I happen to catch it in a commercial or on the radio or whatever, I won't be upset.
I just don't see what difference it makes. What do I gain from hearing it now that I won't by waiting? So I'm choosing to wait. There's nothing to "get."

ya i did not get that impression at all..
after everyone was saying 80's power ballad, i was expecting to hear "To Be With You" or something.... if anything, it seems more 90's to me than 80's
To Be With You was a hit in 1992.
ok... but if a song encapsulates what an 80's power ballad is, that would surely be one of them, regardless if it "missed" by a couple of years
i'm really not going to listen to this song to be sure but To Be With You doesn't have those charecteristic huge drums and wailing guitar solos. it's a subdued ballad à la More Than Words (:puke:). what i call a power ballad would be more along the lines of Motley Crue (Home Sweet Home, Without You) or I Remember You by Skid Row or Something To Believe In by Poison (sorry fellas if it brings you bad memories).

I do actually know that song. My dad played a shitload of Bryan Adams in the car when I was growing up. We actually took him to see B. Adams (as my brother and I refer to him) in 2008 for Father's Day or something. It was a small acoustic show at B.B. King's in Orlando. I won't go into my take away from the show, as I respect your love of his work.
