Took a while for Lovers Know to grow on me, but I love it now. Say Something is one of my favorite Mynabirds songs.

I've only given it about 1.5 really solid listens, but from some of the more tentative reception it's received around here, I was basically expecting an album of average Mynabirds songs slathered carelessly in dense synths, and it completely shattered those expectations -- I think these songs (as raw compositions) are mostly up to their usual sterling standards, and found the arrangements to be artful and evocative. The way more than a few of these tunes employ their synthesized instrumentation reminds me of albums like "Amnesiac" and "The Terror," as they move seamlessly from passages that feel jittery and anxious to ones that feel sweeping and rhapsodic. I will be listening a lot more but on first listen my favorites are "Believer," "Wildfire," and "Omaha." And "Semantics" sounds way better on the album.
