No beef with the strike zone tonight.spike wrote:how's the strike zone tonight?numbers wrote:I don't like to make excuses, but joe west was fucking awful last night. It's easy to pitch a no hitter when the strike zone is the size of a small town.

i get that it was in the stands, but a case can be made. fans' hands were all over prince's glove.@SkitchP wrote:spike wrote:that's absolutely fan interference.
Not really.

let's put it this way: if it was napoli in detroit, it probably would've been called. #redsoxpostseasonmagic@SkitchP wrote:spike wrote:i get that it was in the stands, but a case can be made. fans' hands were all over prince's glove.@SkitchP wrote:spike wrote:that's absolutely fan interference.

He should have had it, plain and simple. Rough end of the night. Let's hope the Tigers bounce back.

Honestly, Hunter has been misplaying fly balls anywhere near the wall all season. He's actually been very bad defensively all season. If he did over run that and had a decent jump, he probably should of had that.elliseamos wrote:how much does Hunter hate fenway?
he blew his knee out when he was still with Min and now he gets forever remembered for going over the wall on ortiz's hit.
watching 100 times since both last night and this morning, i think he could have made the catch... not "should have," but certainly "could have."@SkitchP wrote:Honestly, Hunter has been misplaying fly balls anywhere near the wall all season. so you agree that scherzer should be allowed to punch torii in the face.@SkitchP wrote:elliseamos wrote:watching 100 times since both last night and this morning, i think he could have made the catch... not "should have," but certainly "could have."@SkitchP wrote:Honestly, Hunter has been misplaying fly balls anywhere near the wall all season. I agree, it clearly wasn't a routine play, but he grossly overran that ball, like he almost did with the fly ball from Salty earlier in the game.
I got in a pretty heated argument with a buddy. He could have made that catch but it was clear as day to me that he took a bad angle.@SkitchP wrote:Honestly, Hunter has been misplaying fly balls anywhere near the wall all season. Yeah I was thinking the same thing. This game should be 1/2 the time. The game moves sooo slow now, I can barely watch it. Really takes the air out of the "it will slow down the game" argument against replay? Could it really go any slower??Chris_H_2 wrote:Does any Red Sox game last less than 4 hours?
