Nice work, spike.
Forgot to report. Thin pants were PERFECT. We have to wear them to the Vatican in a few days and it’s supposed to be close to 100 degrees. I can’t think of a better pair of pants to wear, but it’s still going to be miserable.wease wrote:Wearing them for the first time here today. Very emotional. Highly recommended.

The only reason we’re bothering with it now is Aussie licenses are needed for our pretax car lease setup. I can drive on my current one for six months or something.wease wrote:Just wait until the old one expiresbodysnatcher wrote:that reminds me, i moved to a new state 2.5 years ago and still haven't updated my licensespike wrote:rental car sorted and i have an aussie cell number now. getting an aussie license a week from today. it's all getting very real.
i'm not bad, been doing it the last couple visits. it'll probably feel normal in a few weeks after driving the kid to school and back each day.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Spike, how are you with driving on the wrong side of the car/road?
Yes! So glad you enjoyed it.VinylGuy wrote:Versalles was awesome. I got a good day too because it wasn’t that hot. Very cool place.
Now I’m drinking some white wine at a jazz club, it’s called jazz 38 or something like that, super small and weird but cool.
Tomorrow I’ll go for some fucking expensive vinyl
How was the breakfastwease wrote:The hotel we stayed at is supposed to be the oldest of something. The area? Italy? I don’t remember. Room was gorgeous, tho. The bed was basically two twin pullout mattresses shoved together to make a king. VERY uncomfortable
Average. Not as nice a selection of cold cuts. No melon. Not much as far as pastry/bread selection. But they did have hot tea so that boosts their score for me.Jorge wrote:How was the breakfastwease wrote:The hotel we stayed at is supposed to be the oldest of something. The area? Italy? classic european modest bed situation!wease wrote:Up early again to catch our train to Rome. Pisa is pretty much a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it town. Not a lot to see, really. The bed was basically two twin pullout mattresses shoved together to make a king. VERY uncomfortable. My back is killing me this morning. We’re in first class on the train ride, so hopefully it’s comfortable. This is the first morning on the trip hot tea has been available. I was already resigned to drinking a cup of coffee so I wouldn’t have another caffeine headache all day like I have all the other mornings, so it was an extremely welcome surprise.
Next stop, Roma!
