Isn't the payoff/hush money the bigger issue than the affair?
I keep hearing from conservatives/evangelicals that is supposed affair is more than decade old and yesterday's news. If that's the case shouldn't they stop keep bringing up Bill Clinton's affairs too?

There are three troubling issues highlighted by his affair with Stormy:

1. The potential misappropriation of funds to pay her off, followed by the threats to her and her child
2. Squaring his behavior with the belief system of Pence and the other evangelical nutjobs
3. One can assume that if Trump is this sloppy and vulnerable in his private life, then the rumors that the Ruskies have something on him carries a lot more weight

4. The extreme legal danger it presents to his lawyer, who he clearly could not hope to replace

5. The risk that discovery would bring if it came to that
