Something Special starts well, very groovy i like this.

I was with my Dad today, so he shared in my first listen. He's not much of a music guy, but he did say (unprompted) that it sounds like classic pearl jam. He was very impressed.

Wrote this last night after the theatre experience..... but couldn't get accepted/logged in....

+ John “the Coug” Mellencamp is the real inspiration behind this album
+ React/Respond is like Split Enz and the Clash went to third base…. And I’m here for it.
+ Wreckage is an 80’s bronco commercial and I’m also here for that.
+ I do feel some TEN up in Waiting for Stevie and it took me baaaacccckkkkk.
+ Wha?!?! The interlude leading into Running was fucking great and made Running fit/work much more in the context of the album
+ Something Special is straight Velvetta Cheese and as a 44 year old father of two kids I fucking love Velvetta cheese. This to me hits more than any other sacrine Vedder has pumped out in the last decade.
+ Did it feel overproduced/ produced “in haste” / produced by a 13 year old that uses AI to produce records…. A bit.
+ Did some of it feel like a retread… here and there.
+ Do I give a fuck because these guys are 33 years in and worship the Ramones, The Who, and the Stones? …… fuck no.
