Also, completely unrelated, but I was wrong about Phoebe Bridgers. I get it now. I would like to formally apologize to her rimmer fanbase.

What did you say about her, and what changed?

I really like her stuff, but there are some times I've found myself thinking "y'know, if like... Bright Eyes was singing this, I don't think I'd be that into it." A great example of that is her cover of that Bo Burnham song, the original of which I would never in a million years listen to.

I think she's a tremendously gifted performer, able to wring a lot of raw emotion and beauty out of even some pretty bland songs. The fact that most of her songwriting is really good too just puts her over the top IMO

I said she was a great performer with average arrangements/instrumentation. Nothing too savage. But there's a sincerity there that hadn't clicked previously. She comes across as, I don't know, unpretentious? Which seems like something of a miracle considering her indie "it girl" status. She be vibing, basically.

I don't know what that is but I'm happy for you, for that.

I've been listening to a lot of The Sound lately. Of all the post-punk bands I've gotten into in the last few years they might be my favorite (maybe Television)

Anyway, they're amazing and they deserve more recognition.

Their BBC sessions is what I'm currently listening to.
