That said, I watched the first one and liked it. I loved Luthen chatting people up at the party, his chameleon acts were one of my favorite thing from the first season. Getting Mendelsohn to be in this now seems like it was essential. Can’t wait to continue, I’ll probably be caught up by next Tuesday.

Just finished the second episode. I'm struggling a bit. That group that captured Andor were cartoons. I imagine if you get high and walk around downtown L.A. you'd run into a group like this maybe? The whole thing was moronic. Star Wars rock paper scissors. Was it supposed to ridiculous? Three years for this.

Okay, finished the first three, and yeah, it’s just weird, innit?

Cassian starts by exuding coolness while talking to the thicc girl who gave him codes and access to the fighter. Then he bumblefucks his way around the docking bay and off the planet, careening into every wall imaginable and somehow taking no damage. The Empire could’ve used a few of those in the pursuit of Luke in the Death Star trench.

Bada mentioned the group in the jungle Cassian ended up with seemed like Stoners, and if you’ve seen Never Have I Ever (and if you haven’t, you fucking should), one of the groups was led by that show’s lead stoner Trent. The whole sequence was pretty dumb and sidelined the main character for 2 episodes. It was like if the Ewoks just kept the Endor team in the net for an hour of Jedi while Teebo and Chief Chirpa argued about dumb shit.

Meanwhile, Empire Gabe from the Office and his partner with the Tatooinely dry pussy have his mother over for a reenactment of every Everybody Loves Raymond episode. I laughed out loud at how he was lying on his bed after he dismissed himself because his mom was being snarky over the galactic fondue. I just wish they would have more explicitly hinted at the inevitable pegging that took place after his mother left.

Mon Mothma wants a number. I’ve got one. 50. She publicly gets bad news 50 times and then literally turns around and immediately puts on her party face a commensurate 50 times. Like a husband, I’m too stupid to even know what she was upset about 49 of the times. She turns down for what, though, and I’d love to have been her plus one back in the boudoir later that night. She got that Barbara Billingsly neck, if you’re old enough to know.

Finally, we have the farm people. Is the girl Cassian’s wife? I genuinely forgot. She is distractingly beautiful. I shudder to think what I would have done if I were alone with her as an imperial lieutenant and her husband was off planet. An attempted Disney plus rape, probably. Loved her spunk and his demise. Brasso not getting to fulfill his dream of tending rabbits and living off the fat of the land was a boner killer, though.

Ufdah.

I'm still excited because season 1 started slow as well but episodes 1 and 2 were mostly awful.

3rd was more like it but Geezes that dj droid is awful and the other music is just way too modern it takes me out.

That 3 episode opener was an absolute gut punch. Amazing emotions all through that 3rd episode.

I can't imagine you get the feels if you skipped Season 1.

It's the difference between watching your team in the Championship Game and checking the box score the next day.

Binge Season 1 and get into Season 2 without delay.

I agree with everything but that last sentence. Please don't merge those two droids. They're both great characters that need to stand on their own.
Tell me you couldn't feel every emotion that B2EMO was feeling as Brasso was trying to comfort him!

I'm glad Mon Mothma was able to dance like no one was watching for 10 mins.

theyre totally different characters. theres no way or even vague relationship between the emo droid and k2. two polar opposite personalities.

This whole scene was so absurd I think I loved it.

There were some really bad things going on within the first three episodes. Didnt feel like Andor or Star Wars to me at all.

Im along for the ride, dont worry. I understand season 1 took a few episodes to become amazing. I have no doubt this will as well. However, right now, overall im disappointed. Its weird.

I listened to an interview with Tony Gilroy this morning that revealed something about the pacing of the season that I hadn’t heard before:

Apparently there’s going to be a one-year gap between each batch of three episodes. So by the time we get to episode 12, since the season started 4 years BBY, we’re going to bump right up against Rogue One.

I didn’t follow any of the pre-season press for the show, so I don’t know if this is common knowledge.

I read about this and im hesitant. That's so much ground to cover im worried it might make it harder to get emotionally invested with that much jumping around.

As much as I would have loved five seasons of this (each covering a year), it feels like we're kids in the candy store left on our own and getting away with it. The ratings have never been great for this and Disney is probably losing money on it. I'm just thankful we got two seasons of magic*.

Andor has the best and top critical ratings of all Star Wars tv and possibly all Star Wars. It’s worshipped even by worst elements of Star Wars fandom and joe public in general
This seasons got something like 99% on rotten tomatoes.
