Was certainly true for me
As some here have speculated, I think the aging fan base has a lot to do with it, but still very hard to figure it all out.
I got Oakland reserved even though it was my second choice, which really surprised and pleased me. [Got Spokane GA as first choice]
Didn't think there was any way there would be reserved seating for Oak left over after first round because only show in Bay Area.
But as many others have noted, I mainly just want to be in the building.
i just wanna be in the building, but i dont wanna deal with GA, even if im farther back because of it, i want to have my own space, and i do want to sit before the opening band( if there is one ) after the opening band and if my old ass needs to then i want to sit for a minute durring the encore breaks

Yeah, what happens when the 10C only GA section doesn't sell out...?
They shrink it, add more floor reserved seats?

That's a VERY likely scenario and probably what happened.

bwhahahahhahahahahha
this fan club is so fucking stupid
why should someone get 2 hot shows (say LA and NYC) while 2 other people (one in LA and one in NYC) got shut out for both?
stupid. stupid. stupid.
No, they're not separate. When ranking your shows the entire tour was done all together. They're just drawing based on shows and doing them in order.
I'm pretty sure you could rank separate legs 1 and 2, mutually exclusive...and I don't see the issue with having that option if you're willing to travel and take the chance.
Belated response, but this is correct - legs 1 and 2 were entirely independent of one another.
Yeah my bad.

went with reserved seats mostly bc it's a guarantee my wife is going to have to pee at some point, and i'd rather not lose my position

It's ALWAYS about the peeing. Same with me; need some space.

I've never had a problem at GA shows, I just pee on the person in front of me, you'll see, with pearl jam fan now enterting ther 30's, 40's and 50's. Your gonna see alot of fans pee on each other in the pit.

I actually saw this happen at Chicago 2 in 2009. I had one of those drunk, obnoxious fans next to me. He had to high five everyone around him after a song was played. After the main set, he decides to whip it out and start peeing. The girl in the seat in front of him thought he was peeing on her. Her husband put the pee-er on the ground and the 2 of them started beating him. His friend just looked on, really didn't even try to help. Security showed up and removed the pee-er and his friend. True story.

We should take a poll on Reserved vs. GA and I can bet 90% of us are in Reserved due to peeing issues. Specially after all those beers.
I proposed GA to my wife, and she dismissed it in half a second. "NO WAY"!
If left to me, I'd be there 5 hours before the show and be in the first couple of rows, and pee on myself, but I guess not single and not 18 anymore
Enjoy the reserved seats, fellow grown ups. The shows are going to be great.

Birds in Hell wrote:Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:What are the people who don't understand the system gonna do?
Here's the choices that guy posted a few pages back:
1) Brooklyn Night 2 - Reserved
2) Brooklyn Night 2 - Floor
3) Brooklyn Night 1 - Reserved
4) Brooklyn Night 1 - Floor
5) Hartford - Reserved
6) Hartford - Floor
His best shot is at choice 1 but, even then, that's far from certain since the NYC shows will be in very high demand. 10C have already confirmed that the GA sections have significantly less tickets available than reserved, so I imagine the GA section on both NYC shows (and most others) will be sold out on first preferences alone. As such, he's throwing away choices 2 and 4 as there's almost zero chance of him getting picked. Being selected for choice 3 is only possible if there are still 10C tickets left after everyone who put Brooklyn Night 1 Reserved at preference 1 and preference 2 has already been selected; that seems like a pretty slim chance to me. Same for choice 5: this guy only stands a chance if there are still tickets remaining once everyone who put Hartford Reserved at pref 1, 2, 3 and 4 has been selected. Again, I'm rather pessimistic. If he really wants to go to both Brooklyn 2 and Hartford, I'd be putting them at pref 1 and 2 and hoping for the best.
You were spot on. I scored Brooklyn 2. Didn't get a chance to be on the board soon enough to change my prefs. Problem was I did not spend enough time understanding the system, and wanted to play it safe having Brooklyn 2 as 1 and 2 pref....and wasn't knowledgeable to know no. 3 could have been Hartford. Oh well, now the conflict of picking Brooklyn 1 vs. Hartford on Ticketmaster
Thanks for the advice though, shame on me I did not read it soon enough.

Brooklyn 1 or 2 does not show up on ticketmaster.com yet....but several others show up as "on sale" for July 27. Any clue if they are having multiple sale dates? Would be great, so people like me can chase Baltimore, Philly or Hartford tickets on July 27.

This does seem to be the case, and if so that's fucked up. I don't even get a chance at my first choice?

Was Phoenix GA your first choice? The only way they'd make the floor smaller is if among every single ticket request there weren't enough requests for GA out every single slot on every single request. If there's anyone out there who asked for Phoenix GA and got nothing then there's no chance they just shrunk the floor.

No, Phoenix reserved was my first choice, but I "lost" that and "won" GA. I'm fine if they ran the lottery for people who had Phx Reserved #1 and there were more requests than tickets available, but that doesn't seem to have been the case based on other reports. No one who had Phx reserved lower than #1 should have "won" it if that's the case, but people are reporting that has happened.

Yeah, that's fucked up and totally against their expressed protocol if you had PHX Res as your #1 and people who had it as their #2 or lower got it.
