Who in their right mind would bash MYM? It fucking rocks!

I wonder if just maybe that was a hint that these will be on the new record somehow or bonus material or something? It just struck me as a little odd that it wasn't a threat to shut down my account for some random amount of time or permanently, but rather until the new record was released. Why make that particular threat about these leaked songs if they aren't related to the upcoming album in some manner?
Am I overthinking things? Probably. Haha
they may intend to release it in the future, and now that it has leaked people will look at the S/T rerelease with these new songs and wonder why we weren't given anything else. I don't want these songs on the new album anymore since we currently have them, but I don't think they will be regardless.
I can totally hear BOB raping CC into some sort of No Doubt song.
I'm not blind, I can see it coming.
Violently shakes my body.

That's up there with the greatest sucker punches we have ever been dealt by this band.

It is. It's not surprising. Two were hardly knock it out of the park live performances, and the others are good (even great) studio songs. The reaction to MYM, while not quite at this level, was also very positive.
also, two aren't that great and kinda boring, while the other 2 are exciting and interesting
MYM seems to sit right in the middle of these 2 opinions.

RM Likes the ST outtakes.
Makes new stuff even more disappointing.
Pearl Jam makes bad pops songs when they try to.
Negativity .

All that stuff Ed said about how they didn't used to listen to Brendan O'Brien but now they will let him chop up the songs, etc. Why was that? What did Ed think this would achieve? More time to bunk off and go surfing?

Q: It would be so easy to play two hours of hits and then one or two new songs. That's what most other bands do in your position.
Billy Talbot: When we were in Australia, we were in the same hotel with Kiss. We heard that one of them said, "I have the best gig in the world. I've been playing the same 17 songs for 35 years." We heard that and it didn't sit right with us. Our job isn't easy. It's not meant to be easy. Our job is to keep the edge, be out on the edge, always seeing, exploring the limits of what we do and who we are, never letting up. Spiritually and cosmically, not to sound all hippified, but we don't sound good unless we're really connected and on the edge of everything.

So that he can change / rearrange them? I don't know if he said that but it was bullshit if he did.

Yes that is the original leak - and like these songs they are mistakenly labelled 'demos'. I think this conversation has happened before but demos are things like Jeff's NAIS on PJ20 - these are studio recordings which are unfinished/unmastered.
Also - anyone notice the short clips/distortion at a single point in both songs - I assume that is so we buy the clean version when it appears on Lost Dog II.

Hard to name many artists that wouldn't be improved by making their approach more Youngsian.
