They've gotta make it a father-daughter record-buying day.
that sounds awesome. but while i'll hold up my end of the bargain, there's no way that my 14-year-old daughter is buying the pearl jam album.

I'll be coming off paternity leave and hopefully getting a little more sleep each night. Will no doubt be a memorable time for me and with warmer weather and longer days to boot, I'm hoping to eventually say that DM ushered in a summer of RAWWWKKKKKKKK capped off by my 40th at Wrigley on 8/31.

It can't be worse than LB right???? (crosses fingers).
My younger daughter was born shortly after lightning bolt, and future days was a really good lullaby. My older daughter had Dream a Little Dream from uke songs, which was easy to sing but too short, so I supplemented with Tell Me by Tom Waits, an incredible song

Nice! Future Days was our first dance at the wedding - yep. I am the biggest LB hater, and generally not a big fan of that song, but she loved it and how could I not agree to PJ at the wedding? It ended up a pretty nice moment.

Now that our daughter is coming along any day, im pretty excited to see how Something Special turns out.

Congrats! My daughter was born the day after let it ride/cold confession leaked. Those were my companion songs those first two days

Thanks! Awesome - those are great demos. I still think LIR could have been an all time great track had it been touched up a bit and made the cut for Avo.

Im a cold confession man. Let it ride seemed to be more popular round here, but it was the kind of mid tempo number RM really goes for that i find eddie kind of aimless in. but i also havent listened in years

No new teasers/breadcrumbs out there? Nothing since we compiled all the lyric excerpts from Instagram?

I heard they read the reviews on RM and scrapped the whole thing.

It was fun while it lasted folks.

Pack it up.

Nothing to see here.

Maybe it's something in the vein of Dire Straits' Millionaire Blues?

I want that EP that Mike promised us years ago. No laughing matter.

I might be wrong but I have an unfounded feeling that the contents of that alleged EP (or most of it) made its way onto Lightning Bolt. I know pendulum was recorded during the Backspacer sessions but obviously did not (super)sonically fit that album.

Either way, Mike can never be trusted again!!!

Yeah really...From here on out, I consider all Mikes to be suspect. :o
We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…
