The part where school boy suggested it’s unclear what benefits instilling a sense of urgency in low risk folks to get vaccinated would have. My point was we need that urgency to get to herd immunity. It’s really all right there in the current quote pyramid we’re building, but I know you’re just eager to come at me.

LTC, old people, medically high risk, teachers, first responders= urgent need to get vaccinated

Low risk= get it when it's available

Once people stop dying and plugging up hospitals the pandemic is over.

He's having a tracheotomy today to replace the traditional ventilator, which will hopefully lead to a faster weaning process. He's 59, in pretty good shape, and had no pre-existing conditions. The doctors said he about a 20-30 percent chance of surviving two weeks ago, but he has been holding steady since. We are hopeful he will recover in the next few weeks based on the progress he's made.

This thing is scary, completely unpredictable, and the recovery for those who have the most severe symptoms is long and grueling.

Yup. My brother caught it and he is in a very bad way too.

Same history as your father except he is only 35.

Thankfully, things started to turn around for him on Monday and he is slowly improving.

My father, sister-in-law and neices have it too but they are doing fine.
