Obi wans entire purpose was to look out for him. And
They needed to get out of there

Alright, I went back and watched it in ANH and all 3 uses in TROS. No way is Obi-Wan doing the same thing that Rey and Ben are doing. His touch is fast and without concentration or exertion.

Sure that's fair. But how? What does touching his forehead like that tell him about his current state and well-being? How can he tell if he's okay by doing that?
