Our school district is going back on April 26th. Half the kids go on Monday and Tuesday. Half the kids go on Thursday and Friday. If you signed up for that option, your kid gets 16 days of in person school.

Will the teachers be there or will the kids be sitting in a classroom watching the teacher on Zoom?

Going back with a month of school left is kind of pointless but maybe it will help ensure they can't drag their feet in the fall.

My uncle is being put on a respirator tomorrow. He has also been going through chemo treatments the past two years. My aunt has it also. I’m really hoping for the best

My wife's dad is having major surgery and she has to get a plane this week and fly into New Orleans. This is not a good development given that Mardi Gras is next week.

Pretty sure all major Mardi Gras events have been cancelled, fwiw. Not that it really matters in a lawless town like NO. Good luck to your wife and her dad.

It appears he opted out of the vaccine, which had been made available to members of Congress five weeks before he contracted Covid.
