Did you guys hear about Lonzo Ball last night? I think he won the MVP and Finals MVP or something.
Yeah and LeBron was in attendance. Pretty much sealed up him going to L.A. next year.verb_to_trust wrote:Did you guys hear about Lonzo Ball last night? I think he won the MVP and Finals MVP or something.
I think there's a legitimate role for live ball timeouts. I'm with you on consecutive timeouts, though.Monkey_Driven wrote:League is decreasing the amount of timeouts from 18 to 14. Also decreasing the amount of mandatory TV timeouts to just two per quarter. All timeouts will actually be 60 seconds. Finally, teams can only take 2 timeouts each in the last 3 minutes. Great changes.
Now they just need to eliminate live ball timeouts and consecutive timeouts.

I hear you. To be honest I'd never really given it much thought. Having fewer TO's makes them each more precious, so it will punish a team more than before that had to use one just to save a possession.Monkey_Driven wrote:For bailing out offenses?4/5 wrote:I think there's a legitimate role for live ball timeouts. Maybe he wants to join your bedroom?4/5 wrote:LA makes zero sense for him as far as my very biased self sees it.
With my rule timeouts could still be taken at change of possession, similar to international rules. I just hate when a team can't inbound a ball or they get a loose ball and just call timeout. Seems like a cop-out. You're right, perhaps fewer timeouts will lead to fewer live ball timeouts.4/5 wrote:I hear you. To be honest I'd never really given it much thought. Down by 3 or less with the opposing team taking a FT with say 1.2 seconds left, missed FT, timeout.
Most live ball timeouts are the run of the mill sort to try to stem momentum or make substitutions. Idk. I definitely don't feel passionately about it. I've never really thought live ball timeouts were a great injustice, nor do they ruin my viewing experience.
That would be odd to say the very least.verb_to_trust wrote:Maybe he wants to join your bedroom?4/5 wrote:LA makes zero sense for him as far as my very biased self sees it.
He's a better shooter than Rubio, but a worse defender. I think he's going to be really fun to watch, but will be more of a glorified role player/3rd option.bada wrote:Am I being overly harsh thinking that Lonzo Ball's ceiling is Ricky Rubio?
It's funny, it almost looks like he is moving at halfspeed. He's fine when he is on a fast break, but otherwise he's just kind of moseying/surveying. Not sure if he has the lateral quickness to be anything better than average at defending or beating guys off the dribble.verb_to_trust wrote:He doesn't look quick enough
I find it oddly entertaining.PHATJ wrote:No one should give a single shit about what happens in summer league.
