I’m a bit more excited about this than I thought I would be. The album art is ok and not a cartoon, and obviously a producer change will be interesting. Although with a 7 year gap, there’s no way this will be a low key experimental album. It will be a “Pearl jam is back!!! “ Processed vocals and shit sounding drums type album

I dunno. They won their achievement awards. I think they're self-aware enough to finally reach for quality art this time around.

you're clearly not reading the tea leaves as correctly as mr. tea leaves aka me.
i realize how dumb this is but the tea leaves are:
- that vaguely orchestral teaser music.
- the title "dance of the clairvoyants" is so so NOT PJ.
- mike's quote about how it was kinda difficult and experimental.
- NO BOB
- the reddit description of the song - "It's a lower tempo song. A very present synth throughout. Dark vibe with a constant drum beat which sounds almost 80's new wave style in it's production."

The 28 page booklet could be a reference/tribute to Vitalogy(recall on Riot Act how Eddie recycled old lyrics "There ain't gonna be any middle anymore" "Don't go on me now"). Possible themes this time? Self-delusion, pseudoscience?

I dunno, that wtf moment when hearing Who You Are for the first time was pretty awesome, but in a completely different way. Kind of like, “woah, wtf?”... The Fixer was like, “eww, wtf?”
