Its a nice treat for those that listen to albums in their entirety and not just skip around/ahead/quickly move on.

I dig it.

If I go with the trying-to-sing-but-feel-emotion-and-my-voice-starts-to-crack test, then right now Waiting for Stevie is my #1. But obviously I don't know all the words to everything yet, so that's not set in stone. Got to Give and Setting Sun seem like the most likely to steal that particular trophy away in the future.

1. I like the intros / interludes; I've missed them doing that

2. I'm getting used to Running in that position but it is whiplash

Thanks!

Love the shouts Jeff gives to Chuck Dukowski & Klaus Flouride. Two of my absolute favorites in my youth.

3. even some feedback at the end of interlude, signalling a heavier track coming, would be good

I like the intros/interludes as well. I have not downloaded the leak. Does the opening intro repeat at the end of the record? If not I feel this was a missed opportunity

Oh geez, I'm a dummy! That's why my file sizes are different. I forgot that I rendered yesterday's rip at 16 bit but today's at 24 bit. They are actually the same exact size.

Oh well, without being able to listen right now, I cannot confirm whether today's file actually offers any improvement.

I listened. Sounds the same to me as yesterday. Maybe there's still hope

I've listened a number of times to the iPhone baby remix, the first true leak, and yet I'm still really excited for this thing to release for real tonight...good times :hooray:

Just listened through a few Gigaton tracks. Really liking how the Dark Matter mix doesn't have Eddie so much in front and right in your face. Eddie is so prominent in Who Ever Said, for example. Way more balanced on Scared of Fear.

Well, this is what I got with yesterday's rip, seriously something wrong with that version. I'm surprised to hear that today's version sounds no different, because this one is a mess.

Anyone recommend a good VPN I can use so I can buy the hi-res download from Australian Qobuz?

Feels like there's more enthusiasm and positive reaction from DM the album vs. the last few records, specific to the RM community.

What do you guys think/remember?

From memory:

S/T - lukewarm
Backspacer - ibid
Lightning Bolt - largely negative
Gigaton - very positive

Tier 4

I even like the tier 4 songs. Let’s see how this ages…
OK, a few more listens in... including car time, headphones at the gym, etc...

React, Respond drops to Tier 3.
Scared of Fear up to Tier 2.
Won't Tell up to Tier 1. Wasn't sure about this one at first, but wow!

Thanks, I'll try this.

I tried a couple of others and when I tried to go to checkout on Qobuz it recognised I was using a VPN and wouldn't let me buy the album. Is there any way around that?
