Why not have Google and Facebook stop filtering domestic N-95 manufacturers that have unsold masks that hospitals won't buy because they are wedded to their Chinese made brands and can't be arsed to do fit tests on new masks? Double masking is stupid when the better choice is to make more N-95s domestically and actually allow them to be sold to the public.

Agreed, but in the meantime, 2 is better than 1. I still see people with crusty bandanas around their faces.

I’ve been double masking for a while now and the cloth mask keeps the procedural mask snug against the face and forces air to enter through the masks whee previously it could seep in around the edges the of procedural

People were screaming about N-95s a year ago. The feds have done almost nothing to streamline NIOSH certification. Hospital administrators would rather go without than buy domestic and do a fit test.

How many companies spent millions to set up production lines, spent half a year getting NIOSH certification and are going to go bankrupt sitting on unsold inventory? Apparently we can build things in this country still, but only if Tech and sclerotic bureacracy assent to the undertaking.

I wear those flimsy medical masks over my beard, and I usually have to get one from the guy at the front of the supermarket because I forget mine at home.

Am I safe?
