made a number of calls to different customer support teams today for further details on various ducks we need to get into a row. i cannot get used to an aussie on the other end in these situations; it feels like someone's pranking me.

Higgs wrote:Wife had one of the usual ongoing follow up Doctor's appointments today. Physical exam found some unusual lumps so off for an MRI we go. It'll likely be scar tissue or something innocuous but man, I would love to get off this cancer merry go round. I know that whatever happens we will be OK and I know it's likely nothing and we need to know either way, but fuck me if it doesn't get old and begin to grind you down.

Went to the gym and went at it angry. Feel a bit better now.

Enough whining, work to be done.
I posted the above a few weeks ago and wanted to update.

Wiffey had the MRI and an ultrasound and, whilst we were told nothing much on the day, the good news was they didn't find anything they wanted to biopsy "just in case". In truth that alone was a big win as having some experience in this, that's when shit really gets real.

Its funny in a way - you get all worked up and scared of possibilities, and then... nothing.

A great nothing for sure, but still. We literally have a phone consult follow up "at some time (unspecified)" on Thursday.

So I am 95% sure all is well and clear, but can only confirm on Thursday.
Spoiler: show
The flipside is (and I don't care how logical and scientific you are usually) there is always the demon thought in the back of your mind Unless of course the scan saw so much cancer it was waving at the radiographer.

But pretty sure we are good.
But yeah, fuck cancer.
