I was just thinking today of how utterly boring/empty the gaming scene has felt lately. Really nothing on the immediate horizon to look forward to and VERY little from Sony (in particular) on any major AAA titles. I've finally cracked into GoW Valhalla and loving it; I can't believe it's free.

I'm friggin relieved the release rate is slowing down. The market has been oversaturated with very high quality games for a while now and I've missed several through the years. This is a good opportunity to explore those. But who am I kidding, I'll probably just play Rocket League or Chess most of the time.

Borderlands 4 announced at Gamescom. 2025.

2025 is shaping up nicely. I'm sure several games will suck or get delayed but so far...

Probably a 3D Mario as a Switch 2 launch title.

I'm just happy Indiana Jones is coming to PS5.

Switch 2 in 2025 is going to have some bangers like you mention. Rumors of several marquee PS5 titles too.

Concord was a disaster. Incredible example of corporate trash. Those character designs are awful.

SW Outlaws settling in the high 70s on metacritic is a bit of a bummer. I was hoping for another excellent SW game, but it seems like it is a "wait until it is on sale around Christmas" title.

I wonder if this is one of those games that you should wait for the first major update before buying.

Jedi Survivor for example

It's an Ubisoft game, so I doubt patches will make it less boring.

Early reviews seem to be pretty positive re: the Ubisoft-ness. Might squeak to a B or even a B+????

Just play the Lego SW game now free on PS+. It's actually pretty neat.

I can't vent about this in normal channels, so I'll do it here. i can't get over these designs. They are an insult to the profession...
