Use Ticketmaster for the sale, 10C can arrange the seating plan by seniority after the fact.

That's how it worked for, I think, the Canadian tour in 2011. They had a unique code for every member who wanted to enter, from memory.

If that would work then id be all for it, id even be happy to pay the service fees for the convenience

How much do you think Ticketmaster would charge the Ten Club for running their fan club on sale for them? I bet 10C isn't willing to part with the amount of money it would cost as long as they're still a doing an adequate enough job to keep their enrollment numbers as high as they are. I wonder what the real reason behind using them in Canada was in 2011...

It was in the immediate aftermath of the PJ20 ticket sales which were a complete nightmare for most people: a whole day spent hitting refresh, etc.

I agree, it's probably the cost that prevents them outsourcing on a permanent basis.

Now I'm imagining a scenario in which Ticketmaster does the on-sale and includes a "Ten Club Ticketing Fee" to cover 10C's cost of using their service. It'd be fun to watch the fall out on both sides of the "What does Pearl Jam stand for?" argument after that one...
