yeah, i don't understand the shannahan comment.
I'm biased as well (not anti-RGIII, but pro-Shanny), but I can understand the move for a different reason: since the Redskins are already eliminated, it does make some sense to assure that RGIII doesn't get hurt again and sustain a setback. Especially when you've got an excellent backup in Cousins available.E.H. He put the coach in a corner during the preseason when he was running around blabbing about how he'll be ready for week one and even making commercials about it. Quit acting like you are the best QB ever and listen to guys who know a thing or two about football.
I'm biased though, so take that for what it is worth. I never liked RGIII.
Also if they want to get a draft pick back it is a good time for Cousins to show his stuff so they can trade him away.Green Habit wrote:I'm biased as well (not anti-RGIII, but pro-Shanny), but I can understand the move for a different reason: since the Redskins are already eliminated, it does make some sense to assure that RGIII doesn't get hurt again and sustain a setback. Again, biased, but I think that the zone-blocking run scheme is still quite relevant in this era. Just see the success that Alfred Morris has had. And Shanny looked to be lighting up the passing game again back when he had Cutler and Marshall only a few years ago. I'd still like to see what he could do with a fully healthy RGIII.BurtReynolds wrote:I don't think RGIII is a very good qb, but Shanny is an average coach at best. He's from another era and hasn't changed with the times.
I'd send them both packing.
i just don't know. the guy seems clueless at times. he shows no emotion on the sidelines a la Dick Jauron. he's thrown two challenge flags on plays that can't be challenged.4/5 wrote:Really? I think Marrone has shown some promise. I'd take him over Shanahan at the moment.red calzolaio wrote:He's a nut job.BurtReynolds wrote:I don't see Shanahan ever getting another coaching job.
that being said, would be awesome to see him in Buffalo.
They probably could/should have called it on that Hoomanawanui pass attempt. But I'm not complaining!red calzolaio wrote:after every incompletion in those final 24 seconds, Pats are throwing their arms up for PI. i was really thinking the refs were going to bite on one.
At least you won't have the misfortune of watching your team lose in the playoffs. I'm not looking forward to it.spike wrote:oh so dallas is going to play defense today
This--and also a hefty LOL Romo.Green Habit wrote:Meanwhile, LOL Cowboys. They're setting themselves up to get eliminated on national TV again in Week 17.

Yeah, that was bushleague. Someone commented on the Romo post game interview--I want to her Dez's.vegman wrote:WTF Cowboys? And fuck Dez Bryant leaving the field early. He's such a douche.
