I have pretty much no interest in modern bootlegs. Even if I was at the show.

I've been listening to a bunch of the 2016 shows lately, trying to make a brief 80-minute mix of the things I'd like to hear again (In the Moonlight, WMA, etc.)

The band is definitely still capable of pulling out some seriously compelling performances - Immortality from Ottawa and Nothing As It Seems from Toronto 1 are as good as any version of those songs I can think of.

The problem for me is that I don't find the recent shows very enjoyable to listen to as whole experiences; those great moments are relatively few and far-between so I tend to skip around or make playlists of the few things I want to hear.

Agreed completely. They're still capable of amazing performances but Ed's vocals are really weak in a lot of shows. There's also the static on a few of the boots, too, that makes it impossible to listen to those shows.

I'm looking forward to your mix, if you finish it. I started making one and I couldn't finish it. But it did include the WMA > Blood > RVM run from Greenville and The Needle and the Damage Done and Wash from Québec, among a few other things.

I'll say it again, these are the best sounding boots they've ever put out. I'm having a ball listening to them.

Caught a bit of Zurich 2000 on satellite radio as I was out getting coffee. I miss that band.

I'm currently listening to Tampa from this year. It's got this really cooking version of Even Flow and the jam section is going really great and building back into the chorus and Ed decides to count in 2 bars too early and kills the moment

Corduroy > Not For You finishes off a run of 5 Vitalogy tracks and may be my favourite versions of these two ever. So much more spite and rage in Ed's vocals compared to the good time sing-a-longs they have become.
