That scene last night was worse than the curb stomping, red wedding and Bambi's mom getting shot combined. That was horrendous -I so wanted Oberyn to get his revenge and fully (and foolishly, I guess) believed he would. The only hope now is that Jamie steps up and sets his horrible family straight.

i didn't sleep well last night - not because of the show, i just didn't get a good night's sleep - and every time i woke up the first thing i thought of was that last scene. this one might stick with me awhile.

Last night was gruesome but curb stomping was so much worse. Remember hearing the teeth scrape against the pavement?

What about Oberyn's teeth getting smashed out of his mouth?

agreed, the curb stomping is more jarring cuz it actually happens. not too many man-giants going around crushing people's skulls with their bare hands.

That scene was just horribly done. I've always appreciated the sense of realism they put to those gruesome deaths, but they made it way too cartoonish.

I'm guessing the sound artists took some liberty with creating some sound that makes the scene more dramatic and memorable. I doubt there's a lot of "sounds a skull being crushed by hands" examples in their sound research library.
