i get what you mean, but it kind of highlighted the pointlessness of the show. they get through one shitstorm and now negan is on the horizon. it's more like a video game than a tv show.

So you want it to become a show about nation-building? It's a zombie show! I really liked that episode and I imagine that the series will end in a similar place as this ep just ended, but I still want more eps anyway. And for that to happen, we need more badguys and action and stuff. so bring on negan!

I hope they solve all their problems with that rocket launcher now. Full-on camp. I hope they just shoot Negan with it. Fill his camp with gasoline and shoot a few rockets.

No. I guess I always wanted it to be about solving the mystery of what/who caused it. I had the exact thought you did - this is what the finale will be like in 3, 4, or 10 years, and it's going to feel very ho-hum by then.

I think we're past figuring out who/what caused it. The CDC exploded and Eugene was a hoax. There's no one out there with any answers. The answer to this problem is the solution Rick went with last night: band together with all the good people you can find, give each of them a pointy object, and KILL KILL KILL

The storyline content of the episode that peeps are complaining about wasn't what made it good, it was the pacing and style of it. Much improvement over a majority of the last.. oh, 3 seasons?

I think last night, especially the hyper-action zombie killing montage toward the end, may have been a bit of a last hurrah for some of our favorites, considering the impending conflict with Negan.

I'm cautiously optimistic that this could be the best half-season of the entire series.

:haha: I watched the episode laying on the couch with my laptop on my chest. When that happened I wiggled and squirmed in glee so hard my laptop closed and I had to load everything up again. cool moment

There's probably a more manly way to describe how I "wiggled and squirmed in glee", but it wouldn't be as accurate. I was like a little girl in that moment.

It really was. I think the "Michonne waiting for her to finish suturing up Carl's eye" was dumb considering there were 10 other people in the room doing nothing, but they made up for it.

Darryl's rocket launcher 10-kill melee was better.
