If I didn't have the network, I doubt I'd buy the ppv as I'm not excited for it at all.

I let my network subscription lapse, mostly because I'm only interested in the current product and, well...I might download WM the day after and give it a go if I hear it was worth watching.

Yeah, there isn't one good match on that one. Odd because that was probably when WWE was at the height of their popularity.

Yeah 15 is just God awful. The Kane/HHH and Rock/Austin matches were ok but not that great at all. The Rock/Austin rematch at Backlash was awesome. It's weird how at the height of the Attitude Era that Wrestlemania (15 and 16) sucked both years. WM2000 has it's moments though. Main event drags but I dig TLC and really dig the Angle/Jericho/that one guy triple threat.

I watched 18 last night. Lots of fun. Nothing really stands out as an amazing in ring match but lots of good stuff. Super underrated Taker/Flair match though. Flair could still work his ass off in his early 50s. Just unbelievable. The Rock/Hogan match was just incredible from an atmosphere standpoint. I don't think I have ever heard a crowd that into a match.

taker/flair is my favorite taker wrestlemania match. say all you want about how great the michaels/taker matches were, but i don't enjoy either of those nearly as much as i do the flair match. no argument from me that it's underrated.

I actually really like Taker/Kane at 14. It's not as good as the Michaels matches but the build to that match was fantastic and until the Michaels matches that was Takers best Mania match IMO.

I think Taker-Edge is my favorite.

It was great. Kane (even though he lost) came out of it still looking like a badass.

Agreed the match with Edge at WM24 was great.

Not sure what my favorite Taker Mania match is but I will throw Taker/HHH at WM 27 into the mix. It was storytelling 101. Way better than their Hell in a Cell match I think. Which was still good.

It's a shame we didn't get Taker/Angle at WM 22 as originally planned.

I'm just assuming that when everybody is talking about their favourite Taker 'Mania match and not mentioning Michaels at WM25, it's just because that match is so astounding it'd be unfair to include it.

The WM14 build and story for Taker/Kane is WWE's finest hour.

I think the Michaels/Taker HIAC match is better than either of the Mania ones.

It's probably the most well thought out build they've ever done.

WM 25 is probably the best Taker Mania match. My favorite? Hard to say. Probably. I do love the match with Edge (24) and vs HHH at 27. The match with Punk was spectacular was amazing as well.

I do agree with this. It's a best match of all time candidate. There are about 10 mind blowing matches that year....1997.

The match with Punk is so good, it's a close 2nd to the first Michaels match for me of the streak matches.

In that interview with Cabana on his podcast Punk talks about working that match with a death wish and it shows. He goes balls to the wall. Punk really got that shit over with the disrespect of Paul Bearer and was just a great heel during that run. I marked the hell out when he did this.

My favorite part of that match was when Punk did the tightrope walk move Taker used to always do. Once we saw Taker-Brock a year later and how poor a match that was, it's amazing the level of match Punk was able to put on with Taker.

97 has got to be the best year WWE had in terms of match quality. Austin-Hart and Michaels-Taker HIAC are the top two matches of all time for me. You've also got that great fatal 4 way match before Mania that I think is really underrated. The Montreal match is also really good without getting into the ending, and there's a a couple dynamite Hart-Taker matches too. HHH and Foley did some amazing work in 97 as well.

Took my kids to a house show tonight. It was great fun. My dad took me to one when I was a kid (still remember Koko B Ware vs. Bam Bam Bigelow before the Macho Man vs. Honky Tonk Man headliner). Who the fuck is Adrian Neville? He looks like a goblin, but holy shit, that guy can flip and fly. I can't understand why a guy like him can't get time on the big shows?

Probably because he looks like a goblin.
