"Dark and gritty" is such a tired, misguided oversimplification. It's not about tone.

I was entertained and invested the whole movie.
Loved Affleck. Loved WW. Supes was cool...Lex Luthor was great. The only character i dont care is Lois, but because of the nature of the character.

I thought this was really good.. enjoyed it 1000× more than bvs....

Pretty much all of the characters I care about (harley, joker, Amanda w, deadshot) were done very well.. I'm not too familiar about the main villain but I guess she was kinda neat.. my only gripe is croc should have gotten some cgi so he looked less cheesy

Leto was no ledger, but I thought he did a pretty good job

This has been done, and done better. Christ, Snyder already did it with Watchmen. That comic did it decades ago.

Punch, punch, explosion, punch, punch, explosion, all happening over a cg landscape that is absurdly abandoned (no doubt to avoid the criticisms of Man of Steel.)

The action is so lacking in creativity. Hate Marvel all you want, but the action in Civil War was much more inventive and interesting.

Although the Batman fight against the random henchmen was pretty awesome. Where is that movie? That's one I want to see.
