I learned to love Phoebe Bridgers, Higgs is discovering Smashing Pumpkins 25 years too late, Jorge and Tree are big fans of ChatGPT and AI in general, Burt thinks black people and women are ruining movies, Coach is obsessively posting about his weight loss, Snatch is crapping like a donkey, we all love Greg? from HBO's Succession, and every once in a while, everyone brawls in the Transgender Rights thread. It's kind of like a metalcore mosh pit circa 2005.

Phoebe Bridgers is great. However, i saw her team post a photo on her instagram account of fans lining up outside her show.....

I realized i was about 30 years older than all of them so now I can't listen to her because it feels weird.

Sounds like RM is still RM and I guess that kind of warms my heart.

I get that. Maybe take your niece (if you have one) to a show so that it's less weird. Or ask to borrow Coach's girlfriend. I think she's even allowed to drink now.

My niece, the 13 year old, is now into wearing Nirvana t shirts and wearing con's. So she maybe is ready to be manipulated into good music tastes by her uncle. Phoebe Bridgers would be a good way in for sure.

Apparently Josh Freese is still the frontrunner. Was always my top candidate. He had a couple of maingigs (Devo, Vandals, Danny Elfman) and his place in Danny Elfman's band is taken by someone else now since he wasn't available. Could mean anything sure, but still....
