St Paddy’s day was canceled here, a while ago. Booo. New Haven has one of the best parade days. Kind of feel like they should have waited on that.

4 weeks on the vent now with no immediate end in sight. This really sucks, guys.

I knew someone on a vent for a similar amount of time. It is not without hope.
Have they tried and failed weaning at this point?

Soon, he has been on and off the paralytic several times. Now they are lowering the sedation to varying success. Once he is somewhat lucid they will try to wean him off the vent. This is the farthest he's come so far.

This didn't come to pass - they're confident the community spread has passed and NZ (except Auckland) has gone back to normal again as of midnight last night
