As an outsider I don't feel comfortable drawing the line. All I know is that East smokes West.

But yes, The Roots would help the East.

Public Enemy is East Coast, too, I believe.

I had to google where Public Enemy was from, and I don't recognize some of the names on the list.

But like I said, no contest.

I forgot about Public Enemy. That's a huge L. My bad.

Nah, I just listened to Ready to Die and couldn't believe how hard it slaps.

Just stumbled upon MTV Classic. It played Incomplete by Bad Religion. I don’t remember ever seeing a Bad Religion video on MTV back in the heydays.

I watched the Nothing Compares documentary about Sinead O’Conner and was surprised to learn that the Prince estate denied the film the rights to use audio of Sinead’s version of Nothing Compares 2 U. In one of the dumbest statements ever uttered by anyone, Prince’s half-sister Sharon Nelson in 2022 explained the decision not to allow O’Connor to use the song in her documentary:

“Nothing compares to Prince’s live version with Rosie Gaines that is featured on the Hits 1 album and we are re-releasing that album on vinyl on November 4th. I didn’t feel [Sinéad] deserved to use the song my brother wrote in her documentary so we declined. His version is the best.”
