About 4 listens in, and I'm this close to unleashing "best since Yield".

Need my next listen to include liner notes though.

What is the best site to purchase and download a hi-res version right at launch time?

I would love to listen tonight as soon as it is available.

Amazon or HD Tracks or other?
Sign up for the HDTracks mailing list and you'll get an initial discount for signing up. In addition, they'll send you a coupon every Thurday night/Friday morning giving you a non-stackable promo code granting you a percentage off of that week's new releases.

Haha maybe so. A logical extension.

Someone dropped an image of the booklet lyrics into the Upper Hand thread. Are there more of those?

I just want to remind everyone that Gigaton was good. Stop acting so surprised that pearl jam put out a good album - they just did it 4 years ago.

People have been very generous here so I'd like to pay it forward.
Appreciate that, I've waited this long so I'm sticking in the no leak club

Binaural- to me his vocal talent was undersold tremendously. Made conscious decision on many songs to lean into his baritone and not soar

Riot Act- again undersold, like Binaural above but much more so

Avacado - felt like he was singing songs in two keys too high for his voice

Backspacer- sounded tired

Lightning Bolt - I actually like the way he sounds on this, might be in minority.

Gigaton- sounds great but maybe showing signs of age here and there

DM- wtf, he soars like a fucking eagle everywhere!

YES to all of this. Maybe he stopped smoking?

They will ask you to download their file downloader after your purchase.

Judging by past history, I would say yes, although, I can't say with 100% certainty that it will be up precisely at midnight.
I've purchased both Lightning Bolt & Gigaton from there on release day, but, I wasn't awake to buy them at midnight, seeing as I already had both albums in full quality by the release date..
We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…

More surprised Pearl Jam put out a record like this. Gigaton made me happy that they did put out a good and interesting record. DM is making me happy because I feel connected to what the band is performing again. This feels like the band I fell in love with 30 years ago. They haven’t done that since Binaural.
There's the dog. You can't fake that stuff. Confess with your mouth.

Gigaton feels like a record very much of its time and didn't have a lot of staying power with me.

It was an impressive achievement, but it felt more like "Hey, it's pretty cool that the bear is dancing ", rather than, "hey, wow... that bear is actually dancing really fucking well", ya know?
