Chris Wallace just announced he’s leaving FoxNews. Not many grownups left.

Kinda wondering if CNN's negative press lately is an excuse or tool to clean house there and dump some contracts. Finally bringing in some winners.

Whoa, kink shaming is okay now?
Edit: not even kink shaming. This is a different flavor of the claim that genital preference = transphobia.
People like what they like. Pathologizing them for it seems awfully... conservative.

There’s some speculation in Rachel Maddow’s show future at MSNBC. Tonight she announced she is taking a hiatus after this week’s show to work on other projects. She said she will be part of the channel’s State of the Union address coverage and could be back for major stories but otherwise there will be fill in hosts in her time slot through April.
She also said there could be another hiatus down the road.

I heard today that MSNBC’s viewership year-over-year in January was down by over 60% and CNN’s down by over 80%.
Fox News is down 7% but still has 93 of the top 100 cable news shows. CNN has 0 in the top 100.

Mcp's numbers were 2020 to 2021. Your numbers were comparing January 2021 to January 2022 so they're not necessarily contradictory.

Roger that. The Fox numbers are way different.
Anyway, Don Trump was good TV. Uncle Joe apparently not so much.

I hope you didn't need Nielsen numbers to figure that out.

Sorry, yes. The intended point was that tv news viewership has been free falling in general, which is (as far as I am concerned) great. It’s got a terribly low information design and, as these numbers demonstrate, more of a financial investment in destructive politics than in rich and accurate reporting.
The demo for cable news viewership is incredible: average viewer age is over *60* at all three networks, so it orients itself towards that generation’s expectations and responses….then constantly whines about the lack of younger viewers.
