She references him in Rogue One. So she definitely knows. But we don't know how and I don't think they ever need to make that explicit.
duh. I knew that. whoops.
Yeah, I think dime is way over thinking this.. I doubt "The Day Mon Mothma found out about Obi-Wan" will be the next novel. It's totally reasonable that Bail told her. Or that Ezra tells her (even though I doubt this), or she just knew from the get go. This feels like a very trivial thing to try and make into point of contention.

Luke has never seen a lightsaber. Nor a Jedi. Nor a sith. Nor seen obi wans efforts to protect him and his family.
But mainly? If he'd seen Maul at any point or anyone Come to kill him he'd fucking remember it.
Im talking about what Maul INTENDS to do. Not actually accomplishes. Darth Maul goes to Tattooine to locate Luke (the one who can destroy the sith). Obi Wan, who is on Tattooine doing nothing but hanging out, intercepts Maul and kills him before he can get to Luke. Who remains safe and has no clue that any of that even happened.
1. Explains why Maul is gone before the original trilogy
2. Gives Obi-Wan something to do and makes his exile have a purpose
3. Lets Obi-Wan Finish what he started with Maul providing the symmetry the Star Wars Universe loves so much
4. Gives them a reason to introduce Obi Wan to the series, who has previously been unseen
I was so close!!! I just thought he went to kill Luke. Damn it.

I was saying there's no way it's Ezra tells her. Mon mothma and Bail are colleagues of many years. There's even deleted scenes from ROTS and the formation of a group of senators talking about rebellion. They're both in those scenes. They even used the same actress Genevieve O Reilly from ROTS in R1.
My point was there's no way Bail hides that from her. There's especially no way she finds out from Ezra. It just doesn't make any narrative sense.
He's come away from kenobi and not told his crew kenobi is alive. If he does he's making Bail out to be a liar. Start of the episode we hear Hera say 'senator organa told us kenobi died years ago'.
It won't be Ezra. It won't even be an issue we're not gonna see it.

I don't necessarily disagree with this, but between Sabine, Satine, Boba, the black saber, etc.... there could be enough for some sort of mini-series with about 6 episodes.
Except for the fact Boba is barely a mandalorian. He's a clone of one on a planet that seems to honor lineage quite a bit. Hell, is there anything in canon that has Boba even on Mandalore?
Man, as a kid I though Boba was the coolest. I tried to hang on to that into my adulthood, but he is just the worst.
Oh god. This is awesome

My hatred for Ezra wants to neuter him of importance. Of any kind.

I think Ezra has gotten signifincantly better as a character over the 2nd half of this season.

The trailer for the season finale makes it look like he really takes a lead. I hope he does and that it works.

Here's the thing I keep reminding myself of about Ezra; He's a teenager. 99% of teenage boys who would have some kind of power like that would be an asshole. Looking back, even though he always annoyed me, they definitely have shown growth in his character. I'm rooting for Ezra now.

I'm not. I think he takes away from Luke's character. It's similar enough already... kid doesn't have parents / loses loved ones, meets up with older jedi to learn the ways of the force, has anger, is reckless, etc... I want Vader to behead him.

I don't know. I think Ezra adds a bit to Luke's arc. With Ezra we're getting a chance see a average force sensitive teenager find his way instead of the chosen one.

Plus Luke had Yoda and Obi-wan to teach him. Ezra had Kanan. Poor kid.

yeah he's got limited teaching, basically no resources for development and he's running around with a splinter group of rebels.
If Luke ended up in a similar situation he'd probably be fucked.

And guys, let's not forget, when we first meet Luke, he's also kind of a whiny asshole.

Oh yeah. The comparisons they are making between them are there, for sure.
