So wait...are you saying that some people misunderstand their personal political views to be an inherent quality of their whiteness? That, when broader society disagrees with or disapproves of some value or political attitude they hold, they see that as a direct attack on their whiteness? What I wrote above is the only conclusion I could perceive coming from your posts (which were, to be fair, two questions and a one sentence follow up), so if I am wrong it’s because I tried to understand and failed....not because I’m being purposefully obtuse.

2. If the above does capture your point then, given the disclaimer on your first post and your posting history in general, I assume that you don’t agree with or sympathize with people who equate a rejection of conservative values with an attack on “white” culture. So why bring it up? What was the reason you felt it needed to be acknowledged as part of this discussion?
