When I read that article, it seemed to me like it was Harris herself stirring the pot. The sources were multiple unnamed current and former Harris aides and then a couple named close friends/advisors who basically said that Harris feels exactly the way the article is portraying it.
But she doesn't come out of that article looking good so I think it got away from her. Major misfire on the part of the complaining VP aides, at the very least

Short of full on defense of Ukraine, what can US/NATO do if Russia & Ukraine go to escalate their current war?

I feel like it's just Putin trying to create a bargaining chip for himself ahead of talking with Biden, but maybe it's legit/eminent.
