I agree with this though I would say I have listened to Live in Dublin far more times than the studio release. That tour was fantastic and I will forever kick myself for not staying in Saratoga Springs a bit longer to catch NIN and the Seeger Sessions tour after DMB in 2006.

I don't know what it is about Springsteen but when I think of him and his whole aesthetic I feel somewhat repulsed. I don't know if I can convince myself to give an album a chance. Maybe it's Pink Cadillac. What a disaster.

*songs about (ugly) cars in which the chorus' chords are the same as the boring verses'

*repetitive, annoying ear-worm vocal melodies

I suppose I should give a "good" album a chance. What should I start with?

Those are all cream of the crop offer completely different sounds from one another.
I really don't like that "Born in the USA" song. I think it suffers from the bad, repetitive, ear-worm vocals... does this mean I won't like the album?

I also don't want to hear him blabber on and on and on about his romantic escapades and his tattoos and how hot and cool and rebellious he thinks he is. Of what that you recommended does this leave out?

No, that and Glory Days are the only two fist pumpers on the album. Try I’m On Fire, that song is beautiful.
Cover Me?
Dancing in the Dark?

OK. I will play the new one this weekend (if it's on Spotify). I will report back my findings.

Trag, I would like you to listen to The National's new album in exchange, though, and also report back your findings in the The National thread.
