I get he was scared of the dark side and what Ben might become but he went about dealing with this in such an idiotic way

Not only that but this guy also saw his father died in front of when everyone else was happy about it. He builds the Jedi again and fails to bring peace and balance in the galaxy.dimejinky99 wrote:To be honest. Anyone making that completely idiotic argument about luke simply leaves me doubting they even watched the film. It’s right there. He explains it at length. We get three versions of the event that caused it *in the film*. Three!!!

How he learned to project himself across the galaxy is unexplained. Where was his academy and who was in it and who was helping him is unexplained. What happened to the students that survived and those that left with kylo is unexplained
Mystery is at the heart of Star Wars. You explain everything it’s awful and a bland marvel level slop of mediocrity.
Do you really want everything spoon fed to you? I really don’t.

I don't want everything spoon fed. I want stories to makes sense and not be inherently contradictory.dimejinky99 wrote:How he learned to project himself across the galaxy is unexplained. It made total sense. You just didn’t like it. Huge difference. Vast in fact.tree_ wrote:I don't want everything spoon fed. No.. i wanted to like it.. I tried.. then I couldn't cause I realized how blatantly stupid it was. I don't care what direction a story goes, as long as it's justified. Even the frogs falling at the end of Magnolia was justified so I'm fine with it.dimejinky99 wrote:It made total sense. You just didn’t like it. Huge difference. You watched the Turkish remake from the 70s didn’t you.
That’s the only explanation I can think of.

If Leia has force powers why doesn't she ever use them anywhere else? Why can't she move rocks? When/where did Rey learn to fly/shoot/learn fighting techniques? Everything that has to do with Rose is stupid. The lightspeed ship attack is the worst... it's all bad fan-fiction.

Re: Star Wars: Episode VIII: The Last Jedi
"Princess Leia Organa: [astonished] I know. Somehow, I've always known. "
What do you think that is referring to?
Why cant she move rocks? I dont know. Maybe she's not as strong as luke, maybe as a leader she wanted Poe to learn to take charge to carry on the resistance? lead a horse to water...yada yada...
Why do you need EVERYTHING explained to you in full detail? Sure, lets spend 45 minutes on a lei flashback training in the force. Where did rey learn to fly/shoot/learn fighting techniques?
I dont know. How did luke learn to fly a speeder on tatooine?
Rey grew up on a desert planet and obviously had to fend for herself for her entire life. obviously she picked up fighting techniques as seen in many of her early confrontations in TFA.
The answers are there, tree. I feel like you are just running a gimmick right now.

How does Luke go from never hearing of the force on Monday and using it to blow up a Death Star on Tuesday?
Leia has force abilities in the ot. She hears Luke’s call In Empire. She senses he’s still alive in Jedi. She feels Hans death in TFA.
Reys been living in and around ships her whole life. Alone. So naturally learned to take care of herself in a fight.
Oh I get it. You’re being an asshole at this point.

Those are some good explanations. What about the lightspeed attack though? How does that not ruin every other space battle ever?

Also, as I brought up before, why were they using those sitting duck bombers instead of Y-Wings?

Re: Star Wars: Episode VIII: The Last Jedi
Why don't they ever use it in previous movies? Seems like the most lethal attack against big ships/death star.Strat wrote:How does it?tree_ wrote:Those are some good explanations. What about the lightspeed attack though? How does that not ruin every other space battle ever?

That attack was only ever used once before in battle and was banned by the republic centuries before. It’s war. Almost like some lunatics flying planes into buildings never happened before. That’s not allowed. Oh look. They did it.

Not to mention it was a giant ass ship that did the damage. It's not like the Resistance/Rebellion just have those lying around.
