We were able to retrieve them within minutes.

This sounds like me. Apparently my work life is the exact opposite of my non-work life. Life is all about balance.

ugh..this happened to us in Florence years ago..they lost my luggage and AMEX gave us 500 to buy stuff...the bags were at the airport the whole time just sitting there
