Objectively, as a whole, it is bad/poorly made. It is not cohesive and many elements do not make sense. I do appreciate the sound, music, art, etc.VinylGuy wrote:yeah, overall if you didnt like the movie thats fine... but to say its a bad one, im not sure. There is a lot to like it, in the sound design, the art, the framing, lots of stuff.
People complaining about Binaural remind of of people complaining about Lebanese food. You could literally insert any words into this sentence and it will make as much sense.Leatherhead wrote:People complaining about TLJ remind me of people complaining about Binaural.
Ugh. No. Its not objectively bad. Everything makes total fucking sense. You just dont like it.tree_ wrote:Objectively, as a whole, it is bad/poorly made. Not true. There are many elements that don't make sense. It's bad.Strat wrote:Ugh. No. Its not objectively bad. Everything makes total fucking sense. This album is like a relay race that can go anywhere, no matter how pointless.
Well, i agree with him that some storylines are not good. Everything makes sense? well i dont think so...but i also think the movie is really good when it get it right, and i can overlook the bad stuff.Strat wrote:Ugh. No. Its not objectively bad. With a little effort and thought, you will come tot he conclusion that everything (within reason its a fucking movie) makes sense and ties into the star wars universe.VinylGuy wrote:Well, i agree with him that some storylines are not good. I wasn't saying it would be better if Abrams made it, I said everything would have been different. It feels random and made up on the spot.Leatherhead wrote:tree_ wrote:The main thing is this: It's unfocused, as if a drunk were behind the wheel. Watch the documentary on it. Rian's knowledge and depth and passion for the characters of star wars story is incredible. Nothing about it is made up on the spot.tree_ wrote:I wasn't saying it would be better if Abrams made it, I said everything would have been different. The 'it's a fucking movie' argument is the worst. The movie exists within a universe in which there is a set rules that must make sense to the audience. You can't just go breaking rules willy nilly because you want specific things to happen. Things must make sense or else the movie is bullshit.Strat wrote:With a little effort and thought, you will come tot he conclusion that everything (within reason its a fucking movie) makes sense and ties into the star wars universe.VinylGuy wrote:Well, i agree with him that some storylines are not good. It is most definitely made up on the spot. The overall character arcs have changed in his hands from what they were going to be in the hands of Abrams or anyone else.Strat wrote:Watch the documentary on it. He's really the perfect RMer.
