I haven't given that much thought.

I'm wondering if it has been additional foreshadowing of his connection to "the fire".

This was a great chapter. It definitely gives weight to the idea that Jaime and Cersei are part-Targaryen.

Yeah, but it also speaks to Tyrion being the eventual lord of casterly rock.

I spent last night reading some articles on Watchers on the Wall and it seems that Jaime's show storyline is going to veer back to the books and have him at the siege of riverrun.

Here's the possibilities for Jon, right?
1) dead dead
2) dead, but warged into Ghost
3) dead, but will be revived by Melisandre (possibly as Azor Ahai?)
4) Alive. Jon and Melisandre pulled a Rattleshitt/Mance Rayder, but I haven't figured out why other than to allow him to slip away from the Wall without immediate consequence.

2 and 3 can both be true, and 4 can be true without your qualifier

The theory is solid, and then some of the commenters add fuel to the fire. Fun read.
The Howland Reed thread you posted kind of led me down this path.

I feel like they purposely emphasized a few of Rhaegar's traits in the last season of the show, and it makes sense that they'd highlight the ones that would be important down the road. That convo between Dany and Selmy made his musical inclinations stick out, so they may be onto something.

Yes, I noticed that too. They talked quite a bit about Rhaegar last season.
