Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

yep, i swear over 50 percent of the people here have garages stuffed full of shit and they park their cars where the butts take over the sidewalks

I sold 12 different pieces of furniture/items this summer that we had somehow acquired that had been sitting in our basement for years. It was such an incredible feeling.

I have a garage and dont park in it. There is room for the car, i just choose not to. It's a tiny alley and a small garage and more difficult to navigate. Much easier to park in the open spot next to it or on the side walk in front.

I have plenty of space for two cars in the driveway, side by side.

My garage is only a 1 car, and it’s centered on the driveway so it would be really hard to get the car from the garage out, with the other car in the driveway even if all the way over to one side.

So I get to start playing drums again.

I decided today that parking in our garage will never be a reality so I’m commandeering it for myself. Storage for the family, yes, but I’m taking half to set up my drums. I’ll get dampers for everything as not to disturb the neighbors. I will have a place to hang my framed posters finally.

All I have to do now is tell Mrs. Bam. Pray for me.

careful with the posters, unless they aren't of any value, or if the garage is sealed pretty well around the garage door. our wet air for 9-10 straight months could do a number on them.

Spent the day running an Ethernet line to my office as the wifi wasn't cutting it. 96Mbps now, and we have a third router for extra coverage, particularly for the backyard.

The framed posters were in the shed the whole time. The drums were in a closet until about a year ago, now in my garage. The garage seems ok in terms of temperature and moisture.

Putting new flooring down in two rooms in the house. The main living room, and the "formal" one, which is our music room. I started with the music room because it is smaller, only right angles, and I thought it would be easy. Well, I'm about 1/3 of the way through, and it is not easy. It is a tongue and groove "floating" floor. The shit is constanly sliding out of place until you get the next row started. It's hard on the knees, and mind numbinglly monotonous. Pretty sure for the bigger room, I'll rip up the carpet, prep the floor, and then pay someone to install it. What the hell was I thinking? I'll get it done, but I have better things to do.
