I think this is two pretty big leaps.
It might be an instrumental, sure, but on that basis so might have that snippet of what turned out to be Mind Your Manners. Perhaps it just sounded cool and atmospheric and it worked for the video? There's really not much to go on other than it's a few repeating reverberated chords that may or may not be a song on the new record and, if it is, may or may not be an instrumental.
I think it's really the usage of "likely" that I (and, evidently, platy) found curious. It suggested it was somehow more probable than not, which isn't the case.

That would seem to be suggested by its placement behind the song on this setlist, 3) They don't usually name albums after songs, so if they have in this case, I would guess that it's not a song as such. 4) So that leads me to also guess that the parentheses are nothing but a cool little pointless addition to the title, like the 'red dot' of Yield. I can't think of any reason that the parentheses would be there but this is the best I can do to make one up.
This is my basic interpretation (or GUESS) too. But that's solely based on the fact that I highly doubt they have a song named Lightning Bolt on this album. I'll believe it when I see it. I still say it's an untitled intro to MYM (but not necessarily the song we heard from the tour announcement).

Is this going to be the new thing I don't get?
It can replace how I don't get why people think "Lightning Bolt" is a bad name for a Pearl Jam album.

I agree with everything you've said here. And I'm convinced that you're determined to trample on all fun and ultimately pointless speculation with the boring fact that we know nothing.

Exactly my thinking. Bluestate, you might just be able to save me from a fire.

They have never, over the course of 9 albums, named an album after one of its songs. They may do, but it's far less 'likely' given past evidence.

Well that may be a bit strong, but sort of.

I'd put money on it being as simple as that - there's a song called 'Lightning Bolt', they're planning on playing it before MYM, but will most likely skip it.
By the way - did anyone notice the projected set is 40 songs long?!
Yeah, it's huge. I'm guessing about 10 songs get cut from it once it's all said and done (if this actually turns out to be a Wrigley skeleton-setlist).

I think the two songs featured in the tour clip probably are us being given a clue of the two extremes featured on the record.
It's a possibility.

I'd find an album with lots of fast punkish stuff mingled with slower, atmospheric stuff and nothing in between, really fascinating. I don't need any mid tempo blandness and I hope we get no Unthought Knowns (or that if we do, they're better).

Stupid question but when is Wrigley? I need to remind myself how excited to get.

It could get quite tiring getting our hopes up before every gig.

I want an album where all lyrics are written by Mike.
