He hit him strait on though. I didn't know it was the punter when I first saw it but that's just football. It's dangerous. He didn't lead with his helmet and there was no intended head or neck contact.

It's the punters job I feel to protect himself, not the leagues, he's a tackler there and at full speed for 2 football players, that's the result.

I hate that he got hurt but I don't see why so many want that as a fine, it just sucks the Bengals lost their punter.

Of course that's what the league wants to eliminate so it will be a large fine.

Just said it on @FFD, punter is defenseless entire play - you cant go to head or neck area. I expect a big fine for the PIT defender Garvin

no, a receiver is usually looking at a ball in the air and not at the playing field like a tackler.

no, a receiver is usually looking at a ball in the air and not at the playing field like a tackler.

a lot of passes are relatively flat. the receiver's looking down the field at the ball, just like the defender is looking down the field at the runner.
