Listened to a few tunes from Black Gives Way To Blue, what a monster of an album. Its massive. I love it.

I remember (unfairly) expecting that album to suck hard. What a nice surprise that was.

I have still never listened to anything post-Layne era. It’s not refusal, I just never quite did - perhaps one day when that damn live album journey finishes.

I haven't listened to anything without Layne. Am I really missing out?

Check the above playlist. Maybe not earth shattering but there's a decent hour of listening there.

Its a very different band, but once you past trough the idea of what AIC was with Layne, the new band is just as awesome. Its a way more heavy and sludgy version of AIC but William is a great singer and guitar player.

The three albums they made are wonderful.

Yeah, listening to this now as if it is a completely different band though I know it’s not. Much of what I got so far sounds like the logical extension of the self-titled album (I bought the one with with purple jewel case back when). Duvall doesn’t sound as much like a Staley imposter as I expected. He’s certainly got his own voice here. I’m into it.

Rainer Fog sounds different...kinda like a mix between Self Titled and Dirt.

Dinosaurs sounds super sludgy

Same. I don’t know why they have reissued that one yet. Seems they’re waiting for the 30th anniversary I guess
