When I went to visit my dad in Indiana two years ago he wanted to take me to Twin Peaks to meet my uncle (his brother) for lunch.

I'd never heard of the restaurant chain and so I said, "Oh is it like a theme restaurant for the TV show?"

Dead serious, my dad looks at me and goes, "Yeah. Kinda."

How was the coffee?

In the past month I've gotten two friends who have never seen a bit of Twin Peaks to get hooked on the show. The first binged the whole thing (all three seasons and the movie; movie first) in about three weeks.

The second is watching in release order. He has only seen the first two episodes. But he's intentionally not binging. He's taking time to read articles and listen to podcasts about each episode (NO SPOILERS) as he watches. He wants to slow roll it and get as close as possible to recreating what it might have been like to watching it in real time.

Which means, for me, I get to have all kinds of discussions with people about Twin Peaks.

I'm so fucking happy. :heartbeat: :heartbeat:

great work joe. Their lives will be better because of this, and at the same time, they will get super weird and dark.

Those people will not be the same.

Binger: They really aren't at all what they seem, huh?

Slowburner: Owls? Why owls? What happens to the owls?

In light of what we know now about On My Way, how fitting (both atmospherically and thematically) would it have been if that was the performance we got out of "Edward Louis Severson III" at the end of Part 16?

sometimes i think about how cruel TP got with Diane. About Laura Dern´s face when she remembers how she got raped by Bob.

I'm celebrating Twin Peaks Day by going to see Fire Walk With Me at the Alamo Drafthouse. I've very VERY excited. Of course, I'll want to order coffee black as midnight on a moonless night and cherry pie. But I'm guessing they won't have pie. And I can't drink coffee that late.

Instead I'll have a nice cocktail and I don't know a cookie or something.
