The biggest unknown with the Mandalorian is the characters. Sometimes it takes TV shows a bit to find the right tone and their groove. Some people won't be patient enough to let that happen.

Shouldn't be a problem with Kenobi.

Totally agree. US series always always need 5/6 episodes to get going and get you in and get hooked up

True of the wire deadwood west wing sopranos. All of them.

I think this will be different though.

And they’re already shooting season two so

Oh wow. Deborah chow

“The situation is so complex both for [Obi-Wan] personally and in a way, the state of the galaxy, you sort of need time to explore it,” Chow recently told the New York Times in a discussion about her time with The Mandalorian. “And to be honest there are loads of other stories within that period as well, it’s quite a few years. There is so much going on between [Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope] that hasn’t been explored. The idea of being able to go into a character journey plus the politics and plus all the vastness of the Empire and what’s going on is exciting just because it feels like a proper period of history and sometimes that is hard to do in two hours.”

That plainly says "rumor" right at the top.

honestly, for the actors sake, i hope this is true. Im sure it will be handled with adult gloves and he'll be given a redemption of sorts. It wont look awful and will have better dialogue. Im sure.

Remember this series also has to walk that line where it’s accessible to kids too. Just as mando was.

I wish it were otherwise but he’d be that doorway for them. I just hope it’s done with really careful writing and handled carefully

I hope not. This sounds terrible.

You get Ahmed Best back as Jar Jar and he’s in Kenobi, you’ll see a shit storm on social media that will totally destroy him.

I’m sure he’s a nice guy and I wish the best for him, but GL totally effed him with giving him the shit character Jar Jar Binks.

You were in you late teens / early twenties when you saw the prequels.

Jar jar wasn’t written or performed like that for you or I.

Can you hazard a guess who the character was for?

Bit confused how crew can be sent home on a series that doesn’t start filming until end of March. Let’s see though
