Seems unfair to Hawkins. It's not his fault Dave got comfortable and started phoning it in with safe dad rock.

I think "Where Are You Now" is a very pretty song

idk guys I think all three new singles sound like the same band that wrote The Colour and The Shape; that doesn't mean I'm clamouring to get the new album but I do think it's a nice nod to Taylor and the fans

That's pretty sweet if it is. I dont love the song but certainly prefer it to the first one.

They played "This is a Call" and "I'll Stick Around", which rules. Looks like "Aurora" could be a staple now -- they played it second-to-last, and Dave mentioned that it was Hawkins' favorite. Awesome.

But is there any song lamer than "The Sky is a Neighborhood"? I can't believe how shite that song is. Boggles the mind.

I only watched I’ll Stick Around. Three things:

1) Hawkins’s kid plays drums
2) it fucking kicks!
3) Nate is and always will be the coolest motherfucker in that band

* Pat Smear.

(And Nate had that whole weird AIDS denialism thing for a while.)

"The Teacher" is a great song imo

Went to their first show back last week in NH...they were fucking great

Even the newer stuff I'm not a fan of (Shame Shame, the aforementioned Sky is a Neighborhood) sounded a lot better in a live setting

And them breaking curfew to make sure Aurora got played was the cherry on top

Wish they had done I'll Stick Around in place of one of the ones from the new album but that's a minor complaint

In shocking news, that new Foo Fighters song (The Teacher) is actually kind of …not bad?!
