it works fine for me in the context of the song, which has a brisker, lighter presentation of heavier ideas. Given the intergenerational elements present in the song it works that way too. If you’ve got an issue with a 50 year old man using younger idiomatic language thats separate from the lyric itself, i think.Kevin Davis wrote:"We could something else" sounds like canned meme-speak -- it's reminds me of when people say things like "Gigaton is going to suck because Pearl Jam," as if omitting words from sentences in order to make them less linguistically fluent inherently carries with it an element of wit or cleverness. It sounds like something out of a Yahoo news gossip article and Eddie sounds ridiculous saying it.stip wrote:agreedevenslow wrote:we could something else is more pithy than we could try something else.dprival78 wrote:this one is truly baffling.theplatypus wrote:Also: "we could something else."
he could have easily thrown another word in there to have it make sense.. "do", "try".. something monosyllabic

When you say Gigaton which syllable(s) are you putting the emphasis on?
Gig?
Tun?
Or the elusive ... both?

Re: The Official GIGATON Thread (no real tracklists included
Matt posted something on his instagram either for rehearsal or looked like maybe a video shoot. Rehearsals would be good considering how long it’s been since their last shows.
