I was browsing through lists of best female guitar players and the names that come up the most seem to be:
Sister Rosetta Tharpe
Joni Mitchell
Annie Clark
Elizabeth Cotten
PJ Harvey
Mother Maybelle Carter
I admit, other than Joni I’m completely unfamiliar with everyone on the list. So I ask the group, who are the all time best female guitar players?

I think the younger women I hear of as good guitarists are Celisse and Samantha Fish. The former I saw at a festival and the latter is solely word of mouth.
