The movie tells you over and over that the answer to questions like that is there is no answer and you shouldn't care because they don't

Irish TRoS had spent more time explaining how hyperspace corridors worked.

I dont hate this movie at all. I never loved it. But last time i watched it i kinda just dropped into it and fuckit. just got with it. its stupid dumb fun, let it do its thing and enjoy it.

Wouldnt be sticking it on for a watch if im bored or to play in the background like i did all the time with TFA and TLJ but ive no bad feeling towards it.

My post on the previous page was a bit, but something i did wonder about.

If there were Irish hyperspace lanes, there'd be potholes..many many potholes.

Let's rank the top 5 stupidest things in SW. The Death Star wreckage dagger and "somehow, Palpatine returned" are definitely on the list.

I'm not sure those are even the stupidest things in tros.

The dagger is super cool.

"Somehow" never bothered me. I think it's weird how that's turned into a thing.

Opening with the empire and Vader, Jabbas palace, Endor, Luke being taken to the emperor

It has all the whizz pop bang ‘star wars’ stuff too but it works best when it’s dropping you into a vibe and it gives you time to catch up and take it in. Leia releasing Han, beautiful set up. R2 and threepio going to jabbas palace, beautiful setup up. Vader and Luke’s conversation on Endor before they go up, Wicket meeting Leia and making friends and saving her from the scout troopers, beautiful set up and so on.

Paced properly and written that way rather than some of the more haphazard leaving it to the editing to sort it / save it we see elsewhere.

The plot is definitely more coherent than TROS though, In that there is one.
Someday you'll come around...
